Situated on tthe banks of the famous River Dee, this collection of buildings is steeped in Scottish History. Dating back to the 12th Century, clearly documented through King JOhn, Bonnie Prince Charlie and even the Titanic Disaster, this was at one time the homelamd of the Knights Templar, who gave pilgrams protected passage on their way to the Holy Land. The House became a Hotel shortly after World War II and has been undergoing a programme of refurbishment for the past couple of years. An abundance of natural stone and exposed fireplaces, with tall ceilings that create a theatrical style, the Hotel has been carefully enhanced by stylish decorationto create a combination of modern luxury with period details. From the South A90 (Dundee) you arrive at the outskirts of Aberdeen. Take the B9077 (South Deeside Road) and continue for 6 miles, we are located 500 metres ahead at the junction of the B979 and B9077.

Dine in either of our quality restaurants. The Priory room provides a splendid setting for a candlelit dinner, with its stone walls, open fire and intimate atmosphere. Dine from our a la carte menu specially prepared by our Maitre Chef de Cuisine using only the finest fresh local produce. With its old world charm, character and home from home atmosphere, Poachers is a wonderful restaurant in which to sample the delights from our exclusive menu either for lunch or dinner, whilst enjoying breathtaking views over the River Dee. In the Summer, patio seating is available overlooking our beautiful landscaped gardens. Once you have sampled the delights of one of our distinctive restaurants why not finish the evening at our cocktail bar with a fine port, cognac or even a wee dram. Set in the heart of our magnificent hotel is our cocktail bar, dating from 1225 with its granite open stone walls. Built above cellars dating from 1225 and with an open hearth fireplace beneath the spectacular beamed ceiling.
Four conference rooms all with Broadband facility. The Templar Suite has magnificent views over the River Dee and is ideal for the larger conference or function for up to 200 people. This room has ample natural light, provision for power sockets and presentation equipment. The ability for this room to sub-divide allows for meeting to break down into workshops and catering all within the one suite. This room also has a three phase powr supply. The Priory room is situated on the ground floor in the older part of the house. This room features an open log fire, ideal for informal meetings and conferences for up to 45 delegates. The Godfrey Suite is situated on the ground floor in the older part of th house. This room features an open log fire, ideal for private dinners. It can also cater for conferences for up to 20 delegates. All conference rooms have BT phone lines capable of taking modem connection. In addition to the usual audio visual equipment, we can provide secretarial services, photo-copying, telex/fax and parking facilities.
