Situated in the heart of the Old Town of Swindon- this historic hotel offers all the amenities of the modern day hotel. All 65 rooms offer ensuite facilities are feature satellite TV- a hospitality tray with tea and coffee and a hairdryer. We have bedrooms not only in our main house but also in two annexe buildings which are set in the grounds of the hotel in the landscaped gardens. The hotel also boasts a fantastic newly refurbished restaurant- The Buccleuch Grill gets its name from the Buccleuch Estate in Scotland which provides us with the best quality beef- delivered fresh daily- It is widely known that this is the beef that is served to our Queen as well as many top restaurants. Guests are invited to relax in our comfortable lounge or catch the latest sports action on our wide screen TV in the Vaults Bar. Goddard Arms Hotel is conveniently located with easy access to the M4- Junction 15- and is the ideal place to stay for touring the Cotswolds- the market town of Malborough- the city of Salisbury and the sights of Avebury and Stonehenge. In Swindon Town itself- the hotel is close to the Steam Railway Museum and McArthur Glen Designer Shopping Mall- a must for all bargain hunters looking for the designer look. The hotel is closed from 24-29 December. From 1st July all Forestdale Hotels- including the bedrooms- will become completely no smoking when the Smokefree England legislation comes into force.
