Over 70 rooms were furnished completely new in the recent rebuilding phase, each of them individually designed by the ownerfamily. Every room is different in shape, style and colour scheme. Generously sized and luxurious marble bathrooms match up to highest modern demands of comfort, design and equipment. Each type of room at the BAUR AU LAC has its connoisseur. In terms of aesthetics and comfort, even the rooms and suites not affected by the renovation work are always up to date. Now, though, the design of no fewer than 70 new rooms of varying individual character is at hand. The individual furnishings have been chosen in France, Italy and Britain and blended into a faithful stylistic concept. Thus do even the bright, extraordinarily luxurious marble baths form a pleasing symbiosis of comfort and genuine luxury. Generously sized and luxurious marble bathrooms match up to highest modern demands of comfort, design and equipment. The Baur Au Lac features 124 rooms and suites in total including 17 suites and 25 junior suites, totally renovated, combine convenience with tasteful luxury. The security needs of our guests have also been taken into account, with an electronic locking system and modern smoke detectors. Deep-pile carpets in the corridors absorb unwelcome sounds.
