One of the city's foremost see-and-be-seen venues, this is where Tokyoites gather for prime steaks, mozzarella salads with pesto, and grilled specialties from the sea, all washed down with vintages from a list composed entirely of Californian wines. Among the best selling dishes are honey glazed duck from the rotisserie and steamed clams dressed with lemon grass, coriander and chilli peppers. Guests who can be persuaded away from the windows (or their plates!) are invited to browse through the culinary library or watch the team of chefs practise their craft in the open kitchen. New York Grill has three semi-private spaces for parties and over 1,600 bottles in its 'cellar in the sky'. Valerio Adami, an Italian artist, known for his vibrant colours and fluid style, echoed the New York theme in the four massive paintings he created especially for this restaurant. Hours: Lunch: 11:30 am to 2:30 pm Dinner: 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday to Saturday/5:30 pm to 10:00 pm on Sundays
New York BarNew York Bar offers vintage cognac and brandy, classic and original cocktails and the largest selection of Californian wines in Japan. The barmen are ready to serve almost any drink, if they don't know the recipe for your favourite one (unlikely!), they will mix it according to your directions. They have more than 40 liqueurs, 15 cognacs, and a huge variety of whiskeys, gins, rums, and tequilas from which you may choose. In addition, the casual dining menu has something for everybody and won't leave you hungry. Hours: 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Sunday and Holidays
KozueThe menus feature selected hors d'oeuvres, tender sashimi, grilled fish, clear soup, seasonal delicacies and seasoned vegetables. One may choose to indulge in shabu-shabu or try one of the many ą la carte specialties such as the marinated mullet roe, the grilled eggplant with miso or the simmered stonefish and grated white radish soup. Sashimi lovers take note of this restaurant since it presents the finest selection the sea has to offer. Dynamically yet artistically presented, these original creations are served on Bizen and other earthenware selected for their human warmth and craftsmanship. The restaurant's sake list is unusual in its diversity, featuring relatively small makers from throughout Japan and a wide range of styles. Hours: Lunch: 11:30 am to 14:30 pm Dinner: 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm
GirandoleThe lively restaurant's fresh pastries and breads from the Pastry Boutique and seasonal menus featuring Continental cuisine make this a favourite place for casual all-day dining, in the great tradition of European eateries and cafes. Appetizers from the dinner menu include escargot, Norwegian smoked salmon, and crab salad with mango. Meat and seafood dishes, soups, pasta, and sandwiches fill out the menu. Girandole is also the place of excellence where you may indulge in mouthwatering desserts. Girandole's design takes full advantage of abundant natural light, illuminating its elegant interior and rousing its lively atmosphere. The Ex Libris room is in an adjoining alcove, displaying the hotel's unique collection of bookplates by artists from around the world. The restaurant takes its name from the large Italian silver girandole specially made to stand at its entrance. The form is evocative of the Orient and the role of tea and coffee in the European cafes and restaurants that were the watering spots of artists and centres of social life. Hours: Breakfast: 7:00 am to 11:00 am Lunch: 11:00 am to 3:00 pm Light Snack: 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm Dinner: 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm
Pastry BoutiqueA definite hint of the style and spirit of the hotel is to be found near the entrance on the second floor. This is the location of the take-out Pastry Boutique which offers cakes, pastries and exquisite fresh bakery, made to order, crafted by the hotel's award-winning pastry chef and presented in beautiful Park Hyatt Tokyo packaging. Among the most popular items at this 'confectionery gallery' are the New York Grill's signature olive bread and 'Choco Masa', a delectable, moist chocolate cake inspired by and named after the pastry chef's son. A fine selection of gourmet gifts include Francis Miot jams from France, Caffarel chocolates from Italy, Mariage teas, and Knopes' coffees. Hours: 11:00 am to 9:00 pm
The Peak LoungeA skylit bamboo garden is the centrepiece of The Peak Lounge on the 41st floor of the hotel, where grand, sweeping views of the Kanto Plain and Mount Fuji offer a dramatic backdrop.
